“For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 2:7

Remember, the Lord Himself appoints His mouthpiece and shepherds. Be an encouragement today to those whom the Lord has placed alongside you.

“For thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.’” Ezekiel 34:11

Where were you when God found you? Whether you are on a mountain top or a deep dark cave, God Himself will find you personally.

“…And I gave them to him that he might fear Me…” Malachi 2:5b

He gave a promise of life and peace with incredible blessings and security to those who revere the Lord. We are assured this promise even today.

“…’That My covenant with Levi may continue,’ Says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 2:4b

The corruption of the priests had gone so far, the Lord Himself was now bringing things back to His way. When the traditions of man corrupt the Word of God we can be thankful and confident that God will restore the simplicity of His Word from man’s traditions.

Focus on Ezekiel 33:11

The world misunderstands the God we serve but the Bible is certainly clear! God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). John 3:17 states, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Can you see the heart of a father threaded throughout the Bible?

“So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.” Ezekiel 33:7

Do you remember the great commission from Jesus? It was given to all of us. Are we preaching the Gospel in whatever way God has given us talent to do so? Eternity is at stake for so many.

“…And he shall be placed in the midst of the uncircumcised with those slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude,’ Says the Lord GOD.” Ezekiel 32:32b

Proverbs 16:5 declares, “Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.” It is the Lord, and He only, who is worthy to be adored! Let the Lord circumcise your heart (Deuteronomy 30:6).

“You also say, ‘Oh, what a weariness!’” Malachi 1:13a

When we are serving the Lord, is it a joy or a burden? How is our attitude? Do we say we “have to” or that we “get to?” Jesus said it well in John 12:26, “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.”

“All the birds of the heavens made their nests in its boughs…” Ezekiel 31:6a

This passage reminds me of Luke 13:19 where the Lord Jesus is saying that the kingdom of God will rise above all other kingdoms and the birds of the air will nest in its branches. Let us keep heart and rejoice, for soon His mighty Kingdom will reign!

 ”‘…For My name shall be great among the nations,’ Says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 1:11b

Romans 14:11 states, “For it is written: ‘As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.’” Our God is great and He is worthy of all praise. With thanksgiving and joy, bow your knee to the Lord today!
