Reading for today: Jeremiah 13:14-27 and John 10:7-13
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” John 10:9
Jesus is both the door and the Shepherd. We are saved and protected if we go through Him. We are able to rest. We have all that we need. Jesus, as Shepherd, laid down His life for us, His sheep. Jesus sacrificed and suffered loss for the sheep that He loves.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 13:1-13 and John 10:1-6
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” John 10:1
The announcement, told by Jesus, begins with the words “verily,” or “truly,” and commands attention. It is important to know that there is only one legitimate way to become one of God’s sheep and that is through the door. Jesus says that He is that door.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 12:1-17 and John 9:35-41
“Then the man said, ‘Lord, I believe,’ and he worshiped Him.” John 9:38 (NIV)
Although this man did not know who had healed him, Jesus revealed who He was – the Son of God. As instantaneous as his sight was restored, so was his immediate belief that Jesus was the Son of God.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 11:1-23 and John 9:26-34
“Obey Me and do everything I command you, and you will be My people, and I will by Your God.” Jeremiah 11:4b (NIV)
These words are very clear and precise. God’s message to His people was to obey and follow Him. When Jesus walked with His disciples, He continuously spoke and taught them the ways of His Father. And so it is for us today, His teachings are with us when we choose to follow and open our Bibles and read God’s Word.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 10:1-25 and John 9:24-25
“He replied, ‘Whether He is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!’” John 9:25 (NIV)
In an instant, this man’s sight was restored. The first person he saw when he opened his eyes was Jesus, the Man who gave Him this precious gift. At that point he did not know who Jesus was or if any of the accusations being said of Him were true. The one thing he was sure of, he was once blind and now he could see!

Reading for today: Jeremiah 9:1-26 and John 9:18-23
Focus on: Jeremiah 9:3
Sin is a trap for our souls. Unrepentant sin causes us to drift further from God and out of His will. Many times, this is when we feel so alone; the only remedy is to repent. Our hearts and minds need to stay focused on Jesus, who will always lead us back on the straight path toward God.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 8:1-22 and John 9:13-17
Focus on: John 9:17
This man had been blind since birth and never had the ability to see. Jesus healed the man of physical blindness and was given the gift of vision. It was not until he was healed of this blindness, that his “spiritual” blindness was also healed. We need to pray for the hearts of the lost to turn and accept Jesus as their Savior, that they be healed of their “spiritual” blindness as well.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 7:16-34 and John 9:8-12
“They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke Me to anger.” Jeremiah 7:18b (NIV)
The Ten Commandments clearly states that there should be no other gods that are worshiped. Even though this commandment was the direct voice of God, the Israelites still chose to worship a golden calf. We may look at this and wonder how anyone could anyone worship a “golden calf?” Here is a question for us: Do we have any “golden calves” in our lives that we worship at times before the One and only God?

Reading for today: Jeremiah 7:1-15 and John 9:1-7
“This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Reform your ways and your actions, and I will let you live in this place.” Jeremiah 7:3 (NIV)
The Lord is admonishing the people of Israel to clean up their ways and actions. He knows their deeds that have caused them to be out of His will. Jesus is aware of all our actions as well. He paid the price for our sin debt and has asks us to change our ways and stop sinning. If we follow His commands, we can dwell within His presence.

Reading for today: Jeremiah 6:1-30 and John 8:57-59
“Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’” Jeremiah 6:17
There are men and women God has placed in our lives to help us hear His voice. Godly council, from Godly people, confirmed through the Word, by the Spirit to a soul seeking to do God’s will, is one of the most exciting ways the Lord answers our prayers and demonstrates how real He is to us.
