Reading for today: 2 Samuel 11:14-27 and 1 Timothy 2:4
“…who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:4
In today’s society, there is much information seeking to disprove God’s Word. This information forces the world to ask the question - what is truth? God tells us plainly in the Bible that Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life. As Christian’s we know the truth and have to show the world that there is absolute truth in Jesus. Our friends, family and co-workers should see Jesus everyday through our actions, words and deeds.

Jesus speaking to Pontius Pilate said
“and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” ” John 18:37b-38
How awesome is my Savior! He came to bear witness so that even I today would know the TRUTH! That there is one true and living God, Creator of the Universe, and that He sent His Son into the world to die for the sins of the world. Now I can have an everlasting relationship with Him.
Jesus is who He said he is, truth can be known and all roads do not lead to Heaven, some don’t even have Heaven as an exit.
In today’s world with “Emerging” thinkng we hav eto be so careful and be on guard so that we’re not deceived. Best way to do that is to be so familiar and close to the truth that we’ll be able to tell the counterfeit when it comes. Reading our Bible and nurturing our relationship with Jesus, who said that He WAS truth, is essential.
Lord I pray that we would all hear Your Voice and know truth. And that You would continue to give us opportunities to share that truth with those around us. Help us to fulfill the command You gave us to bear witness to You Lord Jesus. That You are who You say You are and to be able to give an answer for the hope that we have in us. In Jesus name. Amen
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” -2 Timothy 2:15
I love what C. S. Lewis wrote concerning the truth about who Jesus was.
That the truth of the matter was He is who He claimed to be.
here’s an excerpt from Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.” that is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not cme with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
Well said!
