Reading for today: I Samuel 7:7-9 and Romans 6:8-14
“…but present yourselves to God…your members as instruments of
righteousness to God.” Romans 6:13b
Yesterday God’s Word challenged you to walk out your new life in Christ by making right choices. The next step in experiencing what God has for you is to present or surrender your body, mind, and soul to God as an instrument to be used in His service.

I’m meditating on Rom 6:14 - “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”
This is saying that under the law, sin has dominion. When you have a bunch of rights and wrongs to follow, sin is prevalent? Sin is highlighted? Why does being under grace remove the dominion. the rulership of sin?
I’m having a hard time understanding, internalizing this. Is it because I’m no longer focusing on the rights and wrongs to find out if I’ve missed the mark?
I think it’s about that newness of life - a walk that focuses on a relationship with Jesus and not on your rights and wrongs. When you look at rights and wrongs, your sin is obvious and glaring… and it’s what you are looking at.
I think it is telling me to focus on the relationship - that’s what you “do” when under grace, rather than measuring your sin against the law.
