Reading for today: Judges 3:7-11 and 1 Thess. 1:8
“For from you the Word of the Lord has sounded forth….”
1 Thess. 1:8a
Make your love and faith in God prevail in everything you do. Let everyone know about your faith by your actions and words. Your daily life should reflect Jesus and His Word.

Reading for today: Judges 3:1-6 and 1 Thess. 1:6-7
“And you became followers of us and of the Lord…”
1 Thess. 1:6a
Our daily goal should be to imitate Christ. What a world we would live in if everyone were trying to be like Christ! As Christians we need to strive each day to have more of Christ and less of self.

Reading for today: Judges 2:11-23 and 1 Thess. 1:5
“For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance…” 1 Thess. 1:5a
Whenever the Bible is heard and obeyed, lives are changed! Christianity is the power of God to everyone who believes. What has God’s power done in your life since you were saved? Are you living each day for the Savior? Can others look at your life and know you are a Christian? Make your life count for God.

Reading for today: Judges 2:1-10 and 1 Thess. 1:4
” …knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.”
1 Thess. 1:4
How awesome to be chosen by God! Does your life reflect the love that God lavished upon you? We can never repay God for what He did for us, but we can live a life that’s worthy of being one of the chosen.

Reading for today: Judges 1:21-36 and 1 Thess. 1:3
” …remembering without ceasing your work of faith…”
1 Thess. 1:3a
Faith, hope and love… wonderful Christian qualities we all should strive to increase daily. With these qualities comes fruit like work, labor and endurance. We thank God for the qualities He’s given us and ask that He increase them even more.

Reading for today: Judges 1:1-20 and 1 Thess. 1:1-2
“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers…”
1 Thess. 1:2
It’s so important to set aside time each day for prayer, and especially for thanking God for the people He’s placed in our lives. Whether it is a family member, friend or co-worker, God has specifically designed that each person touch our lives in some way (or for us to touch their lives) and we should thank Him.

Reading for today: Joshua 24:29-33 and Mark 16:12-20
“Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.” Mark 16:14
An unbelieving heart is sinful (John 3:18-19). May your faith not be in signs or feelings, but rooted deeply in the Word of God. May your faith be something Jesus marvels at, like the centurion’s (Luke 7:9). Base your faith on the truth in the never changing Word of God.

Reading for today: Joshua 24:22-28 and Mark 16:1-11
“He is risen!” Mark16:6b
Jesus is victorious over sin and death! As believers in Him, we are members of His body and share in His victory. Hold firmly onto the word of grace, trusting Him to remove your foot from the snag. He will deliver you from your snare and though you will die, you will resurrect like Him, victorious over sin and death with Him. United with Him in glory for evermore!

Reading for today: Joshua 24:19-21 and Mark 15:42-47
“…No, but we will serve the Lord!” Joshua 24:21b
We all choose someone or something to serve. Whom do you choose to serve? Is your house a reflection of what God wants? Make the wise choice and do as Joshua and the people of Israel did: make a total commitment to serve the Lord only, no matter what anyone else thinks or does.

Reading for today: Judges 7:1-8 and I Thess. 3:8
“For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.” I Thessalonians 3:8
If Paul was this excited about the faith of these people he’d taught, imagine how much God rejoices over us when we are faithful to do what His word says!
