Reading for today: Joshua 9:15-16 and Mark 5:35-43
“Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, ‘Talitha, cumi,’ which is translated,
‘Little girl, I say to you, arise.’” Mark 5:41
If Jesus has the power to raise this little girl from the dead, think of the miracles He can perform in our own lives too. He can deliver us from the things in our lives that have a hold on us and that cause us to stumble. Jesus loves us, He is good and is waiting to take us by the hand and help us. Praise the Lord!

Reading for today: Joshua 9:14 and Mark 5:21-34
“Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the LORD.” Joshua 9:14
Whenever we make a decision about something or whenever we need guidance, we should always pray to the Lord for direction. The Lord will answer in His timing, and according to His perfect will. Let us wait upon the Lord, listen and obey.

Reading for today: Joshua 9:7-13 and Mark 5:9-20
“…Go home to your friends and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” Mark 5:19
Praise the Lord for His compassion and love for us! Let us remember to show our thanksgiving to Him and spread the Word of our great Savior. His is a message of hope, and He calls each of us to tell our friends and family about Him too.

Reading for today: Joshua 9:1-6 and Mark 5:1-8
“And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.” Mark 5:2
In this situation, the demon possessed man came to Jesus. This is an awesome reminder that the Lord receives us even at our ugliest and when we have our greatest need. He is there to help us even though we don’t deserve it. Jesus knew this man was a sinner. But thankfully, He was willing to love him, cleanse him and show him mercy. May we never hesitate to come before our merciful Jesus.

Readings for today: Joshua 8:33-35, Mark 4:35-41
“But He said to them, ‘why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” Mark 4:40
I’ve been there quite a few times. We are all sinners and we all fall; no one escapes. But a strong relationship with God builds our faith! When He answers our call, it builds our faith. When we see family and friends being led to Christ it builds our faith. When we think about eternity and spending it with Jesus Christ, where all pain is taken away, it certainly should build everyone’s faith. Amen!

Readings for today: Joshua 8:30-32, Mark 4:30-34
“And there, in the presence of the children of Israel, he wrote on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written.” Joshua 8:30-32
In Deuteronomy 27: 10-26, Moses gathered the people of Israel and spoke the words that God had spoken to him: “Therefore you shall obey the voice of the Lord your God, and observe His commandments and His statutes which I command you today.” (Deuteronomy 27:10). Even today as believers we still need to adhere to these words which leads to spiritual growth with Jesus Christ.

Readings for today: Joshua 8:24-29, Mark 4:26-29
“…and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.” Mark 4:27
Once we became believers and accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, His plan for us was to grow spiritually in Him and to serve Him wherever. People who have walked with Jesus for many years have grown through studying the Word daily, having daily devotions and engaging in fellowship within the corporate church structure. We have all witnessed spiritual growth not only in us, but in others as well. Amen!

Readings for today: Joshua 8:14-23, Mark 4:21-25
“Then the others came out of the city against them; so they were caught in the midst of Israel, some on this side and some on that side. And they struck them down, so that they let none of them remain or escape.” Joshua 8:22
God’s plan fulfilled! We can have the same thing if our hearts are filled with love for Him; if we have that personal relationship with Him; if we seek Him through His word and his church; if we raise His name and give Him glory in worship; if we grow with the body through fellowship and surrender ourselves to do His will. He has a plan for all of us.

Readings for today: Joshua 8:9-13, Mark 4:13-20
“…and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” Mark 4:19
These words really hit home today. Greed has never been at a higher level. People who live for the worldly treasures of today’s world and who do not know Jesus Christ have no idea what paradise is; but as believers, we do. These words should inspire all of us to finish the race.

Readings for today: Joshua 8:3-8, Mark 4:10-12
“Then you shall rise from the ambush and seize the city, for the Lord your God will deliver it into your hand..” Joshua 8:7
My biggest obstacle when I first got saved was all my trials; I tried to fix them myself and failed. Today I give it to God, and if anyone knows what’s good or bad for me, it is Him. Trust in the Lord. If you know Him, He will answer.
