Readings for Monday, December 15th - Numbers 33:1-49, 2 Corinthians 7:1
Readings for today: Luke 1:26-38
Focus on: Luke 1:26-38 (Gabriel visits Mary)
Here an angel appears to Mary and tells her that she is going to have a son. She doubts and says, “I am only a virgin.” But the angel says, “All things are possible through God!” And if Mary has enough trust to believe in God with the impossible, we should to!

Hi everyone,
With the ice storms and power outages in North Central Mass, Horizon Fitchburg and many of its members have been without power since Thursday, December 11th. The latest devotionals will be posted as soon as the church staff has the ability to enter them into the website.
Thank you for your patience and prayers.

Readings for today: Numbers 32:20-42, 2 Corinthians 6:17-18
“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18
John 1:12 says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” We have a father/child relationship with God, the most powerful love there is. As believers we are all part of a family — God’s family. “Lord, thank You for loving us that much. You fill our lives with love, peace, and joy abundantly. We praise You. In Jesus’ name.”

Readings for today: Numbers 32:1-19, 2 Corinthians 6:15-16
“And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God…” 2 Corinthians 6:16
God wants to live in you by His Holy Spirit. He looks at the heart, so let’s welcome Him with open hearts –Hearts that seek Him, seek to be close to Him, seek to talk to Him and love Him, seek Him first and above all truly surrendered to Him. The power of His Spirit is upon us so we can be His witness.

Readings for today: Numbers 31:25-54, 2 Corinthians 6:14
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
We are living in this world, but we are to be set apart for the Lord. We are to love all and share His message of hope — but be careful who you’re yoked to. How awesome it is to be in sweet fellowship with those of the same faith. “Lord, thank You that we’re a part of Your family.”

Readings for today: Numbers 31:1-24, 2 Corinthians 6:11-13
“O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open.”
2 Corinthians 6:11
Paul holds nothing back here; he gives his all to the believers with love. He’s exhorting them to be of the same Spirit. “Lord, let our hearts be open to You.”

Readings for today: Numbers 30:1-16, 2 Corinthians 6:4-10
“If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.” Numbers 30:2
This was a warning: a vow (or commitment) that God is not to be taken lightly. One who makes a vow shall not break his word. Although God is loving and forgiving, He’s also a righteous and holy judge. “Lord, may all the words we speak be led by Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.”

Readings for today: Numbers 29:12-40, 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
” We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.”
2 Corinthians 6:3
We should always desire that our actions show the love of Jesus and not cause anyone to stumble. I pray we walk in love, walk in light, walk in wisdom, and walk in submission (Ephesians 5). Our walk is how we live our lives and Paul encorages us to walk godly in an ungodly world.

Readings for today: Numbers 29:1-11, 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
“We then, as workers together with Him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” 2 Corinthians 6:1
We are called to serve others as a church family. Paul is pleading with the Corinthians not to live for themselves. Let us start each day in prayer asking God to show us how we can serve one another, and also for a world that is in rebellion against God. “Lord, teach us to pray.”

Reading for today: Numbers 28:16-31 and 2 Corinthians 5:20-21
“…Be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20
When we are in Christ, this life is still only a shadow of things to come. But without Him, there is only darkness. Remember, the King of the universe comes to us and waits, desiring to fellowship with us. Arise; kiss the Son and go to the Light of the World who can cast out all dim and dark things in your life.
