Readings for today: Numbers 20:1-13, II Corinthians 3:17
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” II Corinthians 3:17
It is by the Lord’s Spirit that we have true peace and freedom: freedom from worry, freedom from the guilt of sin, freedom from striving to make things work by our own strength. There is liberty because the Spirit allows us to see things as they really are, and to trust God completely to work things out for good (see Romans 8:1 and 8:28).
