“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Oh God, help us focus our hearts on where you are. For what we see here on earth is often very troubling. As you renew our viewpoint, fill us with your joyful Spirit as we begin our new week with you. Amen

Reading for today: Numbers 23:27-24:14, 2 Corinthians 4:13-15
“…knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.” 2 Corinthians 4:14
Romans 6:4-6 reads, “Just as CHRIST was raised from the dead through the glory of the FATHER, you too may live a new life.” God reminds us in HIS WORD over and over that because HE raised CHRIST from the dead we have a true and meaningful hope. That hope is evinced by the new life HE gives us and the everlasting life to come.

Reading for today: Numbers 22:41-23:26, 2 Corinthians 4:11-12
“For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:11-12
Paul’s words are not meant to frighten us, but to encourage us. Romans 8:31b assures us, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” And Proverbs 21:30 tells us, “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.”

Reading for today: Numbers 21:21-35, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
“The Lord said to Moses, ‘Do not be afraid of him, for I have handed him over to you.’” Numbers 21:24
Moses knew the voice of the Lord, and he knew that it was the Lord telling him not to fear. Let us draw near to God and know His voice (John 10:4) so we won’t follow the voice of Satan.

When we sin against God it always creates problems; however, we serve a merciful and forgiving God. We need to realize no matter how strange things might seem to us at times, God always knows what He’s doing (trust and obey Him).

Readings for today: Numbers 20:14-29, II Corinthians 3:18
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” II Corinthians 3:18
As we read the Word of God, with the Spirit helping us to see clearly, we are transformed more and more into the glorious image of God, until our final, perfect transformation comes in heaven. What an awesome privilege!

Readings for today: Numbers 20:1-13, II Corinthians 3:17
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” II Corinthians 3:17
It is by the Lord’s Spirit that we have true peace and freedom: freedom from worry, freedom from the guilt of sin, freedom from striving to make things work by our own strength. There is liberty because the Spirit allows us to see things as they really are, and to trust God completely to work things out for good (see Romans 8:1 and 8:28).

Readings for today: Numbers 19:1-22, II Corinthians 3:14-16
“But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” II Corinthians 3:15-16
Since the Bible is a spiritual book, dealing with heart attitudes and issues, it’s only by the working of the Holy Spirit that we are able to read and study it with understanding. As Christians, we have the Spirit’s power to understand the Word and to let it transform our everyday lives. Amen!
