Reading for today: Leviticus 12:1-8, 1Corinthians 11:33-34
“And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.” Leviticus 12:3
On the eighth day the human body produces Vitamin K and allows blood to coagulate. I guess God just knows our bodies a little better than sometimes we give Him credit for.

Reading for today: Leviticus 11:24-47, 1Corinthians 11:31-32
“For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy, as I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing on earth.” Leviticus 11:44
God wanted His people to be different. He stooped down even to address their menu. Are we living wholly different from the world? Are we living a life separated unto Him? Are we living a life turned away from the world and set toward Him?

“Whatever in the water does not have fins and scales–that shall be an abomination to you.” Leviticus 11:12
God may not restrict those saved by the blood of His Son from eating clams, but what about things like dating unbelievers? What about making excuses for why you should be granted a divorce? What things being done by those who are consecrated unto Jesus does He say grieves His heart?

Reading for today: Leviticus 10:1-20, 1Corinthians 11:23-26
“Then Moses made careful inquiry about the goat of the sin offering, and then it was burned up. And he was angry with Elemazar and Ithamar…” Leviticus 10:16
God takes note here. The meekest man on earth had an anger problem - and what a problem it would be.

Reading for today: Leviticus 9:1-24, 1Corinthians 11:20-22
“And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.”
Leviticus 9:24
What is your reaction to being in God’s presence? Does it line up with that of those we find in Scripture? Is it holy awe?

Reading for today: Leviticus 8:18-36, 1Corinthians 11:18-19
“What remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn with fire.” Leviticus 8:32God already had the sin offering by the end of verse 17. He had established his desire to have our entire being at His disposal by the end of verse 24. Now He tells us He even wants the scraps, the extras. In our offering of consecration to Him, He desires us from first to last. Burn what’s left so I may enjoy the smoke of your life’s offering in my nostrils. He wants us!

Reading For Today: Leviticus 8:1-17, 1 Corinthians 11:17
(Focus on verses) Leviticus 8:1-17
In these verses we see a picture of our great High Priest, Jesus Christ, appointed, anointed and invested to this sacred office by His own blood. We can rejoice that He is our merciful and faithful High Priest today and for all eternity.

Reading for Today: Leviticus 7:1-38, 1 Corinthians. 11:16
“But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.” 1 Corinthians 11:16
Paul is saying if the discussion concerning head covering is causing a problem or division in the church, it’s not worth becoming legalistic over it.

Reading for Today: Leviticus 6:1-20, 1 Corinthians 11:13-15
“All that about which he has sworn falsely. He shall restore to full value, add one-fifth more to it.” Leviticus 6:5a
When we have defrauded or hurt someone, genuine repentance requires restitution. Jesus said “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.”

Reading for Today: Leviticus 4:27-5:19, 1 Corinthians 11:11-12
“Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.” 1 Corinthians 11:11-12
Man and woman are spiritually one in the Lord and one cannot do without the other. The woman may have come from the man at creation, but today man is born of the woman. Man and woman belong to each other and need one another. Both men and women are vital to the body of Christ.
