Tuesday July 15th

Published at 1:00 am under Devotionals

Today’s reading: Exodus 9:1-12, 1 Corinthians 3:8-10

“The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.” 1 Cor. 3:8

Do you ever feel like you’re wasting time talking to someone about Jesus? Some people may get frustrated not seeing the fruits of their labor while others get the joy when the person finally accepts Jesus as their Savior. Don’t fret! You are doing God’s work that he has set before you.

In the Exodus reading, the Lord told Pharaoh what He was going to do to Egypt if His people weren’t freed - before that particular plague was brought upon them.

We know the consequences of our actions, yet we choose wrongly anyway. Paul said in Romans 7 that the things he wants to do he doesn’t, and the things he doesn’t want to do - those things he does.

Only in the strength of our Lord can we do the right things - not by just knowing the consequences.
