Reading for Today: Exodus 17:8-16, 1 Corinthians 5:8

“But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” Exodus 17:12

We often feel like we are alone. As Christians, we need to lift the hands of each other so that we can stand against the attacks of the enemy.

Reading for Today: Exodus 17:1-7, 1 Corinthians 5:7

“And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, ‘Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?’” Exodus 17:3

Again, we see God’s chosen people complaining about physical needs. Jesus said that if we asked him, He would give us living water so that we would never thirst again. Have you asked Him for a drink yet?

Reading for Today: Exodus 16:22-36, 1 Corinthians 5:6

“And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.”  Exodus 16:35

For forty years God met the needs of the Israelites as they wandered in the desert. Even today, we tend to wander off after the things offered by the world, but God is still faithful to give us what we need.

Reading for Today: Exodus 16:1-21, 1 Corinthians 5:3-5

“Then Moses spoke to Aaron, ‘Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel, ‘Come near before the LORD, for He has heard your complaints.’” Exodus 16:9

It is easy to become complainers when things are not going the way we want them to, especially when we fail to remember that as our provider, it is against God that we complain. Instead of complaining about what we do not have, we need to rejoice in what God provides daily.

“It is actually reported…” 1 Corinthians 5:1

If you know a brother or sister is deep in sin, pray and ask the Lord how to handle it.  We’re always called to love.  Jude 1:22-23 reads, “And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.”

“For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.” 1 Corinthians 4:20

Action always speaks louder than words.  When God spoke, there was action.  He is the living Word.  Walk the talk.  Ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit every day.

When we truly follow God and His will, people take notice.  Do all things unto the glory of God!

“…it is Mine.” Exodus 13:2

Don’t hold things too tightly; everything belongs to the Creator.  His blessings are innumerable and He’s given all things for you to use.  But remember, even if you think you’ve worked hard for it or you deserve it, it’s all His.  Count it as a blessing.
