“Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people…” Act 19:26
In the Welsh Revival of 1901, the revival was so great that every tavern and pub in Wales went broke. The Welsh lost all interest in alcohol. When people get touched by God and filled with the Spirit, the same thing that happened in Ephesus and Wales can happen today.

Reading for today: Genesis 41:46-52, Acts 19:11-20
“So mightily grew the Word of God and prevailed.” Acts 19:20
When the believers threw out their junk and burned it up, the Word of God grew and prevailed. If our desire for the meat of God’s Word diminishes, we may be consuming worldly junk food. We need to cast the junk out and feed on God’s prime rib.

“Pharaoh said to servants, ‘Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the spirit of God?’” Genesis 41:38
Pharaoh realized that Joseph was a man “filled with the Spirit of God.” Those who know us should be able to see Jesus in us, through our words and our actions. Let’s pray that they do.

Reading for today: Genesis 41:15-36, Acts 18:24-28
“And Joseph answered Pharaoh saying, it is not in me. God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.” Genesis 41:16
Joseph said, “I can’t interpret your dream. Only God can give you an interpretation.” Like Joseph, we need to continually focus people’s attention on Jesus and not take any credit for His work through us.

Reading for today: Genesis 41:1-14, Acts 18:18-23
“I will return again to you, if God wills.” Acts 18:21 James wrote, “Be careful that you don’t say I am going to do this thing on such and such a day.” Instead, as Paul, we need to say, “If God wills, I am going to do this or that.”

“Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him.” Genesis 40:23
“Think on me when it shall be well with you and show kindness…” Joseph had said to Pharaoh’s chief butler. Yet, the chief butler forgot Joseph, who had to wait two more years for freedom. When we are overlooked or forgotten, we must trust God as Joseph did, knowing that our life is in His hands.

Reading for today: Genesis 40:1-19, Acts 18:1-10
“Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, ‘Be not afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; For I am with you, and no man shall assault you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.’” Acts 18:9,10
ALWAYS SHARE CHRIST! Teach the Word of God at every opportunity even it be a simple thought to a stranger. God shows us in His Word over again that He will honor His Word. Imagine our joy, being a conduit of His blessings by simply speaking the truth of His Word! Thank you Lord!

“But the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy and loving kindness and gave him favor in the sight of the warden of the prison.” Genesis 39:21
Commit your life to Jesus and He will wash away all your sins and show you mercy and favor as well.

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11
As Christians we need to be noble minded like the Berean Jews with inclination of mind and eagerness, searching and examining the Scriptures, and becoming able to discern what we are told instead of being suspicious. Pray that the Holy Spirit will be a beacon to guide and shed the necessary light on our path to truth.

Reading for today: Genesis 39:5-9, Acts 17:1-9
“…they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;” Acts 17:6
“Explaining and setting forth and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, This Jesus, Whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.” Acts 17:3. Two men preaching Christ crucified turned a city “upside down.” We should never take our Christian witness lightly; knowing His Word will never come back void. “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
