Reading for today: Genesis 31:43-55, Acts 9:20-30

“…and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way,…” Acts 9:27

Saul was changed for life when he met the Lord on the road to Damascus.  The Lord has glorified Himself in each of His children as we have all been changed through the love of God our Father.  No greater love has man known.

I’m so thankful for the precious love that I receive daily from my Lord and Savior. What a gift I’ve been given. His companionship and fellowship is my guiding light for each and every day. It’s such a blessing to know that He is available to me whenever I need Him. He’s loving, patient, kind, gracious, merciful and He always watches over me. His love is perfect, casting out all fear. I will praise Him for all of my days! My personal prayer is that the love I’ve been given flows through me towards others so that they might see Jesus in me. I pray that His character and His likeness is reflected in my life to share to those in need.

    Donna,
I see Jesus and His character in you a lot! Your prayer is also mine, but lately the Lord has been giving me a desire to show His character more through my suffering. I’ve been able to relate to a lot more people because of my infirmity, and it has really been a blessing. His strength is truly made perfect in our weakness!

    Naomi,
Praise God for His work in our lives. I just had the opportunity to spend time with my son and his family out in Ca. They attend the Calvary Chapel in Oxnard. At one of the services we attended a wonderful man of God gave his testimony of his life and the many trials he has faced raising a handicapped child. His story was incredible! He was a business man with huge responsibilities. He made a lot of money and was very successful in the corporate world. When his third son was born, he was severely handicapped. It turned his world upside down. The challenges he faced not only changed his life but caused him to cry out to the Lord and subsequently led him to God. He now participates in a wonderful ministry reaching out to those who suffer handicaps of all kinds. The one message he spoke about that was so powerful was to praise God through our sufferings. It really opened my eyes to this very truth. God’s purpose and plan for our lives is perfect. It is at these times when we face the most difficult trials we are encouraged to praise Him. I’m reminded of these words…. Raise up my hands that are hanging down. Straighthen my feeble knees. May your love and joy abound and fill me with your peace.
