Reading for today: Genesis 7:6-12 and Matthew 8:14-22

“And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to depart to the other side. Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go. And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father. But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”" Matthew 8:18-22
Are you willing to follow Jesus at all costs? Is He first in your life above all else? Mark 8:34 declares that we must deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Jesus. That is challenging in a society that teaches us to live life for ourselves first. When it seems too hard to follow Jesus, just think about how much He loves you and remember how He laid down His life for your sake. Once we get the proper perspective, following Jesus is a pleasure because of how amazing He is.
According to Matthew 8:19-22, a true disciple is to be available ANYTIME, and to follow Him ANYWHERE!
16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“ He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.”
For months I lived in fear for watching a stupid movie I was terrified about it. But as I get to read His word that darkness cannot live in light that the darkness runs form the light and the other day I heard Chuck and another guy I can’t remember his name but he made a go point that Not even Christ can enter are hearts with out are invitation so as it also is that we cannot be possessed as long we don’t invite demons to possessed us. Today there some many way out to get in touch with the demon world it’s crazy, I remember as a kid that my cousin and I; we messed around with a wegi board with are parents in the next room not even knowing what could have possible happen to us by God’s good grace we didn’t even have the thing move from any demon but we both had God watch out for us that very day praise God. We did not now him, but he still protect us. another cool thing to see here is that this Demon possession is in line with sickness infirmities so we can see that this demon possession is the sickness of the spirit an infirmity of are soul praise the Lord for he is the great Doctor I cant spell the word so I’ll use this one. That He so loving to want to heal us and even when he doesn’t, He so gracious to walk us through are infirmities. Infirmities man today there are so many. The other day I went to the doctor think I was having a heart attack that man it gets you thinking. It wasn’t but an nice fancy way to say you are stress out (acute Anxiety) You now this thing anxiety is pretty crazy but as I woke up today I realized that I can either let this thing consume me or fight it with the strength of the Lord I face it today but not alone, today I fought it with the Lord for the first time I didn’t do it on my own strength I can’t speak for every sickness but I believe that we all can fight this one day at a time.
