Reading for today: 2 Kings 3:1-27 and Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

The death and resurrection of our Savior means so much to me.  It means salvation and an opportunity to be with Him.  It tells me that the Lord loves me so much.  He walked the hill of suffering, and on that tree He took all of my sins and iniquities and placed them upon Himself.  He was completely separated from the Father for my sake and yours.  We are all sinners and can never be perfect, but the Lord’s forgiveness is great and His mercy is new every day.  That’s how much He loves us!
